Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission is conceived of by indigenous people and the lead author is indigenous.
  3. Blind manuscript: The main submission document(s) must be formatted to ensure that there is no identifying author information contained witin the document(s).

  4. An abstract/description of 200 words or less must be provided
  5. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, three suggested reviewers must be provided.
  6. A biography of each author (no more than 100 words) must be supplied.
  7. All agencies that provided funding or support for the work presented in the submission must be clearly identified.
  8. The submission file is in Microsoft Word or RTF document file format.
  9. The text adheres to the requirements outlined in the 6th edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (2010) for formatting and referencing style.
